Privacy policy
Infinite Voidsong is built to need as little of your data as possible. There is no analytics, no cookies, and no request ever leaves your browser except to load the page itself and, when you switch on a recorded layer, its audio file from this same site.
Who runs this
The data controller is Sinaida Krivchenko, based in Prague, Czech Republic. For any privacy question, reach out through sinaida.eu.
What is stored, and where
Infinite Voidsong keeps two things in your browser's own storage:
-
voidsong:v1in local storage, holding layer volumes, the active preset, timer choice, and whether you have dismissed the notice at the bottom of the page. - A browser cache filled by the site's service worker: copies of the site's own pages, scripts, fonts and the audio recordings you have played, so it loads faster and can work offline. It holds no personal data.
Both stay on your device. They are never transmitted anywhere, never read by anyone else, and clearing your browser storage removes them completely and at once.
What this site does not do
- No analytics or tracking scripts.
- No cookies.
- No third-party requests: fonts, icons, audio recordings, and every asset are self-hosted.
- No accounts, no forms, no advertising.
- No automated decision-making or profiling.
Hosting and connection data
The site is hosted on Vercel, on its free Hobby plan. When you open a page, any web server necessarily receives a technical request: your IP address, the time, the address you asked for and your browser type. Vercel handles this to deliver the site and keep it secure. I do not export these logs, I do not keep a copy, and I have not enabled any Vercel analytics, speed insights or log drains for this site.
- Legal basis: legitimate interest in running and securing a public website (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)).
- Retention: on the Hobby plan the request logs in my Vercel dashboard cover about the last hour. Vercel may keep connection data longer for its own security and operations, as described in its notice.
- Transfers outside the EU: Vercel is a US company. It states that it relies on standard contractual clauses or other lawful mechanisms and takes part in the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework.
- Processing agreement: Vercel offers its data processing addendum to Pro and Enterprise customers only, so on the Hobby plan I have no separate addendum with Vercel. The data involved is limited to the connection data above.
Vercel's own practices, including how it treats data of visitors to its customers' sites, are described in the Vercel privacy notice.
Your rights
Your settings exist only in your own browser, so there is no record on my side to request, correct or delete: clearing your browser storage does that instantly. For connection data you have the rights under GDPR: access, correction, deletion, restriction and objection. Write to me through sinaida.eu. I answer within one month and, where the data sits with Vercel, I pass your request on to them. You may also complain to the Czech data protection authority, Úřad pro ochranu osobních údajů, or to the authority in your own country, at any time.
